When I was growing up, Crayola had a contest to name crayons. My favorite was “Purple Mountains Majesty.” These mountains aren’t purple, but they are breathtaking-ly majestic.
I have never seen a landscape the same as North Dakota. Truly a unique place.
A peaceful view. I am so grateful that people had to foresight to preserve these wonderful places so that I have the chance to see them.
Herds of bison roam the protected lands left for them. Without intervention, they’d be gone. Of all the rolling hills I’ve seen, North Dakota had a different feeling, a different peace, a different texture than the rest of the world.
I love experiencing what small corners of this world has to offer.
